How to create a clipping mask effect in Photoshop

Create a New Page.

Select the 'Rectangular Shape' tool from the tool box. Make a strip of desired colour.

Change the setting in the 'Radius' section of the property dilog box and resize the strip as shown in the figure.

Duplicate layers should be created by pressing the 'Ctrl and J' buttons on the keyboard. The strips should be set as shown in the figure.

Select all the layers in the Layers palette. Press 'Ctrl and G' buttons on the keyboard to  group it.

Press  'Ctrl and T' to  set the strips

The image should be pasted onto the strips. Image should be set using transform command.

Right click on the image layer and select 'clipping mask' option from  the list.

Clipping Mask effect will be created on the image.
